makejvf software package provides generate VF file from japanese TeX TFM file for dvips, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install makejvf
makejvf is installed in your system.
Make ensure the makejvf package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep makejvf *
You will get with makejvf package name, version, architecture and description in a table
